Two Years Without My Mom
On the 2nd yahrzeit of my mom’s death, just a few remembrances of what I’ve written here before…
I Am Not Everybody — written on the first Mother’s Day without my mother.
Rapunzel – how the traditions of mourning one’s parent varies.
You Say It’s Your Birthday — my mother hated the summer, especially the Israeli summer!
Knit One, “Pearl” Two — memories of spending the summer knitting together with my mother, and a refreshing bowl of hot soup.
Who Inspires Me? — my interview by Rivki on her blog, Life in the Married Lane.
Shmaltz, The Sequel — Probably the one recipe I most identify with my mother.
The girls and I really miss you, Ma!
My most heartfelt thanks to Ju-Boy, for saying kaddish last night and today.

HaMakom yenachem…
Thanks, Batya.
Yehi zichrah baruch.
Thanks, hugs to you!
I miss my mom, too. So good that you have strength to write about your mom. Yehi zichrah baruch.
Strength, hmmmm, not really, otherwise I would have written something new. I wish I did, but can’t this time around.
Thanks.
Mirj – it was lovely reading these blogs again. You most certainly aren’t everybody and we all love you for that. Your mother must be so proud to see what you have made of your life, largely due to her inspiration.
Wish you long life full of happy memories..
*reaching for a tissue*
It gets easier but you will always miss your mom… it’s been over 41 yrs since my mother passed away and I still wish I could talk with her sometimes.
(((((Mirj)))))
Your tributes to your mom are beautiful andI can understand that sometimes you don’t feel like writing more, for all sorts of reasons.
I lost my mom 11 years ago and I never stop missing her. Hugs to you, my friend.
My mother’s first yahrzeit will be this week.
I am touched by your memories.
toda raba.
Lynne, may you find comfort in your memories.
