Who Is Miriyummy?
Foremost, I am me. Then I am a wife and mother, but not always in that order. Born and bred in the Bronx, I am a rabid Zionist and love living in Israel. I was born with a need to feed, and am a Food Network star just waiting to be discovered.Like Miriyummy on Facebook

Do I have a choice
None whatsoever! It’s even written into the ketubah that you have to read my stuff.
I read it’cos I really enjoy it
I need people to read mine so i’m hoping that if i read yours you’ll read mine. (Even though yours is more fun and less political
‘Cause you make me laugh…and…because your recipes are the greatest! You also make me remember things I have not thought about in ages.
HiMirj. I love your stories and they give me an insight into life in Israel Cheers to you Bergy
Love your stories and recipes! I can relate to a lot of what you write about…only you’re a way better cook! Keep posting and I hope to meet you this summer in Israel! ♥
I read your blog because doing so makes me smile and brightens my day.
Hugs and mwah! You make me smile!
I read your blog because I was born curious. In this case about you, your family and friends and about Israel. This way I feel I am getting to know you all better and enjoy it all too. The recipes..well they speak for themselves…. I love new recipes and especially those from a creative cook who relates food to life as you do. Each reminds me of something and that too is exciting!!
you never know what you are going to find there, plus you get good recipies
It is impossible to choose just one of the above options. Of course I read it for the recipes! I’m a recipe addict! What keeps me coming back more than that, though, is the stories you share with us. I sometimes feel like we’re two friends having tea together, although unlikely to happen…too many miles.First at Recipezaar, and now here, it’s a pleasure to have gotten to know you, dear friend.
So, of course, it’s all about you!
One of her friends refered me to this site for an awesome Challah Recipe and I stayed because I enjoy reading the site and other recipes I have seen here.
Keep up the good work. This is a keeper.
For the first two reasons!
And why do you read mine?
You are a wonderful storyteller – your stories always make me think, and smile. And want to get into the kitchen and cook!
Because you offered it to be read ~ From seeing your posts on Zaar, I already knew you had a great sense of humor!
Both the recipes and the stories.
It’s always interesting to see how the recipe will fit with the story. It’s a fun read plus I get a recipe- WIN WIN!

Where else could I read stories with photos of real people, while I enjoy eating the result of your recipes, with real photos? You willingly share your thoughts, your humour, your life, your family, your food….
Thank you for sharing.
Because you’re paying me
By the way, you owe me quite a bit of money:)
Love your blog, especially because I know some of the cast of characters (and Yes, I mean that literally)
Your stories are awesome. They remind me of the world we shared in high school together as well as the present day in which we live, you in Eretz Yisroel and me in [the last place I ever thought I'd end up] Southern California. I love your recipes, snippets of being a mom, a daughter, a friend and a wife. All in all, although I don’t have a lot of time and haven’t logged into Facebook in ages, I will always make time for your blog and can’t thank you enough for it.
I love the stories. I think u have a great sense of humor and could make the silliest things sound fun and entertaining.
